Marin Agencies meet to address digital divide

Before the pandemic cities across the US and the world were successfully taking control of their digital futures.  Building and ensuring community-wide access to the high-speed, low-cost broadband internet required for full access to community, opportunity, and resources in the twenty-first century.

With the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel now in sight, what will the new normal look like?  Have we learned the lessons offered us by the disparate impact of the digital divide on our most impacted neighbors and loved ones?  In May 2021 the Canal Alliance, Digital Marin, Marin Promise Partnership, the Marin County of Office Education, the City of San Rafael, the County of Marin, Marin Economic Forum, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), explored the opportunity before us for collective action toward a more just digital future.
