Government and Emergency Management Working Group provides feedback on outreach

On January 14, 2020 the Government and Emergency Management Working Group met, facilitated by Michael Frank of Marin General Services Agency. Michael, along with Marin County CIO Liza Massey and Digital Marin volunteer Rebecca Woodbury, shared an overview of the Digital Marin project, the project’s goals, the role of the working group, and the approach for seeking outreach from stakeholders. 

The Working Group weighed in on the outreach approach, largely a series of focus groups and one-on-one interviews as well as the proposed questions. 

Next steps include Michael and Rebecca conducting focus groups with the following stakeholder groups: 

  • Fire Chiefs 
  • Police Chiefs 
  • Emergency management professionals 
  • City Clerks 
  • City Managers 
  • Public information officers 
  • Justice community professionals 

The focus groups will be followed by an online survey and augmented by one-on-one interviews with individuals within these groups. 

The Working Group will meet again following the focus groups to review and discuss key themes gathered from the outreach.
