It’s tough to keep up with technology. Advances seem to be rolled out every few seconds. How does one keep up?

One way is through free classes offered by the Marin County Free Library (MCFL). All sessions are held via videoconference – a participation skill developed by many during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The classes are led by Technology4Life, MCFL’s partner in the project. The sessions will be recorded and available on MCFL’s YouTube page for six months. The next class, set for 6 p.m. December 13, is about how to organize photographic archives by using Google Photos.

Classes are offered through April 2023 and cover the basics of using Gmail, using the Google suite of products, organizing digital photos, smartphone use, social media use, online buying, and Microsoft Word basics. Some classes are available in Spanish. The list of classes is available on MCFL’s website.

The MCFL computer classes – again, they’re free! – are sponsored by the Friends of the Marin County Free Library.
